Pinks and Blues for Christmas

Welcome! Today I am using non-traditional colors with one of my favorite Power Poppy stamp set Poinsettia.  I love the combo of colors Distress Oxide inks Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, and Peeled Paint that I used to water color the image with a water brush.  Used Versamark and Gold EP to stamp both the image and sentiment.  Inked the edge of the white layer with a Gold Pilot Marker and adhered to turquoise mat and pink card base.

Jingle All the Way

Welcome!  Do you hear the Christmas bells ringing?  For this card I pulled out an old Bell stamp from Gina K's Very Merry Christmas set but used one of her newer sentiment stamps.  I simply used the stamps with Versamark and Gold EP on Red Velvet CS.  The sentiment was doubled embossed which gave it a raised look. I filled in the ribbons with a Gold Gel Pen.  I stamped and embossed the bells again on Gold Metallic CS which I fussy cut and popped up on the card.  I think this may be the first time to gold emboss on Gold Metallic paper.  The result was a very CAS card but a bit elegant.
I inked the edge of the red layer with Pilot Gold Marker....this is a great way to give a layered look to a card but with less weight for mailing.

Winter Tag

Hello!  I made a tag with a snowflake theme that can be for Christmas or Hanukkah or any winter gift.  I used a Sizzix Snowflake die with a textured specialty paper from a Hero Arts kit.  Stamped a Gina K stamp with versamark and white EP on a tag cut from textured blue CS, added the snowflake and a gold ribbon.

Red, White + Pop of Green

Hello!  I have been playing with the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and used it almost verbatim. I used Hero Arts stamps and dies  for the focus area and Gina K stamps and dies for the snowflakes. The red background layer was embossed with Crafter's Companion Nordic EF (design of snowflakes and reindeer). I inked the edge with white and layered on the ovals, die cuts, added white enamel dots and red nail heads.  Used Green card base to finish.

Ornaments for Christmas

Hello! Only 10 days until Christmas!  I was inspired to make this card with bright colors chosen from the Merry Monday Christmas challenge.  I used dies and stamps from Gina K Merry and Bright kit to create the ornaments that are heat embossed with Silver EP. Used Darice EF on the white layer and blue card base.

Making Cookie Envelope

Hello!  Today I have something envelope for a cookie.  I was inspired to make this after seeing Cindy's post and challenge for Day 8 challenge in Power Poppy's 12 Days of Challenge for Christmas.  I downloaded her templates and printed on Kraft CS.  I also created my pattern design with Power Poppy Hollyberries digital stamp using Photoshop Elements .  I colored in the berries using tools in Photoshop.  I was going to leave the leaves uncolored but decided to color with a Green Pencils after I cut out the envelope.  I used some String closures from my stash (purchased several of these at a closeout sale a few years ago) and colored the string red with a Copic marker.  For the tag, I used a Vanilla one from my stash and stamped with sentiment from Power Poppy Poinsettia set and inked the edges.  Added some fussy cut Holly and Berries from the printed design.  After viewing the picture, I think the tag is too large and I will downsize the next ones I make.
Now, just to make some  cookies and fill more envelopes.
Note: I first tried to stamp and emboss images directly on the Kraft paper but could not get it to look like I wanted.  That is when I resorted to printing the design and it will be really easy to make several wrappers.

James Returns with More Gifts

Welcome!  I always enjoy playing with James the Bear Bearing Presents, a stamp from Lili of the Valley.  I have owned this stamp since at least 2010 or maybe longer.  Although in the past I have added a lot of paper and embellishments to James, I decided to keep him clean and simple for this card.  So, James is the star of this project.  He was stamped with Memento Black Ink on GKD Heavyweight White CS and colored with Copics.  I did add some White Crystal Nuvo drops to his hat. The image was matted with Grass Green CS and attached to foam before adhering to Red Velvet CS. Sentiment is Gina K from Joyful Holiday set.

Snowflakes Falling

Hello! I have another card with snowflakes....prefer the paper ones to the wet, cold ones.  I used snowflake stamps and dies from Gina K Merry and Bright set with Versamark ink and White EP. The snowflakes were arranged on a White Glossy CS mat embossed with Darice Snowflake EF. Gina K sentiment from Joyful Holiday set was stamped with Memento Black ink on a strip matted with Powder Blue strip cut with border punch.  Assembled the card with Powder Blue base and mat of Black CS.  Inspired by the sketch below. Finished with pearls on the center of the flakes.

Snowflakes Are On the Way

Hello!  Today I have created a Patterned Paper using Gina K snowflakes stamps from Merry and Bright Stamp TV kit stamped randomly on Gina K Powder Blue CS with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White EP.  After trimming the panel, I inked the edge with Gold Metallic Pen.    I wrapped this with a ribbon, added a sentiment from the same set, and popped up a Snowflake also heat embossed with White EP, die cut, layered on circles of White CS and gold Metallic Paper.  I adhered to Gina K White Card Base to finish.

Winter Scene

Hello!  I had fun making this card inspired by the Sketch #432(below) challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I pulled out Hero Arts October kit to create the scene using stamps and dies. Used blue CS for the skies and White CS for the other layers - the mountains were inked with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce ink.  The trees were cut from Green CS and the stamped reindeer was fussy cut.  I added snow to the sky, mountains and trees with Marvy Snow Marker. Spritzed the sky with Gold Shimmer mist. The sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps was inked with DO Faded jeans and filled in with Stardust pen for some glitter and shine.  Attached to Glossy White CS base.
