One Layer Ombre

Hello!  Taking a break from Holiday cards.  Today I am sharing this One Layer Card made with a large  Repeat Impressions floral stamp that I heat embossed with White EP on White CS.  I then inked this with Distress Oxide ink Faded Jean creating an Ombre effect dark to light.  Finished with a single score line and a sentiment.  This may become apart of several I will create for a box set of note cards.

Holiday Cards

Hello!  I am back for a second post.  I have more Christmas cards....these were made for the Release Challenge at Stamp TV.   We are to make the greeting the focal point of a card by framing it with dies, punches or another type of border or panel.  I used Spellbinder dies to create frames for each of my cards using sentiments from GKD Joyful Holiday stamp set.  I stamped the Poinsettia from  A Year of Flowers on GKD Red Velvet CS with Versamark and embossed with Gold EP. The flowers were cut with my new dies from GKD and attached with foam tape.  Other supplies used were: White CS, Gold Metallic CS, Embossing Folder, Pilot Metallic Gold Marker, Stardust Pen, and Red Nail Heads.

Falling Leaves

Hello!  The leaves are falling but it has been too wet to rake.  I was inspired by a pattern paper scrap that I found in my stash to create this Falling Leaf theme card.  I used a very old PSX stamp with Versamark ink and Gold EP with Ivory CS to create the focus. The sentiment used was an older GKD stamp.  Used mats and die cut(Spellbinders Regal Frame) on the corner cut from textured metallic Gold CS.  Added a leaf  metal embellishment and Ivory Card Base.

Hello! Another rainy day...good for playing in my studio.  My card today was made with GKD's Always Autumn stamp set and I did some creative cropping with the pumpkin and sunflower stamps both going off the side.  I inked the pumpkins with Memento Tangelo and the flower with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and colored with Copics and Pencils.  The sentiment was stamped with Walnut Stain DOI. Distressed the edges of the white CS with Fossilized Amber and adhered to GKD pattern paper from Sun Kissed Autumn pad. Finished with a metal embellishment from October Hero Arts kit.

A pattern paper from Heartfelt Creations was adhered to a Yellow Card base and the card was assembled using the flower, a strip cut with a Martha Stewart border punch, brown stain ribbon and bow, and Dew Drops.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Brown EP on a die cut of the Vellum.

Join Me for a Pumpkin Latte

Hello! This project was made for the Scor-pal October Challenge #42 Treat Holders to use more than one score.  I used a simple template for a K-cup holder to make this coffee treat.  To make the holder, use one sheet of cardstock and trim to 8.25" by 10.25" and score and trim lines as shown in the diagram below.  Cut circles for the cups and oval on the handle. I am not sure of the source for this template but I found it in one of my files.  I scored using my Scor-pal and cut & trimmed necessary areas and folded the sections and adhered with double sided tape.  I decorated using stamps and dies from September Hero Arts kit and inserted a couple of Cappuccino Pumpkin Lattes.

Harvest of Memories

Welcome!  I have another card for Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday challenge inspired by the photo on the left.  I chose to use Black and White Gingham ribbon for a bow on this card.  The stamps used are from GKD's Harvest of Flowers (Basket of Apples and Sentiment), A Year of Flowers (Sunflower), and Botanicals (Berries).  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink for stamping and Copics for Coloring.  Glossy Accents was added to the basket for a bit of texture.   I thought I was finished with just the basket and sunflowers but added the berries after I made the first photo shown below.  When I looked at the first photo, I thought it needed a bit more and the berries was just the right touch needed to complete the card and picked up the berries from the inspiration photo.

Chinese Lanterns Make a Sunny Day

Welcome! A third post for today.  As the month nears the end, I am trying to enter some challenges that end soon.  This card was made for the challenge at Power Poppy to use Kraft colored paper for a project.  I decide to use Power Poppy stamps from the Sunny Harvest set.  I tried several mediums on Kraft CS including Distress Oxide Inks and Markers without success and then used pencils to color the image after stamping with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on the Kraft.  This came out to my liking.  I added Glossy Accents to the red berries and used Sakura Clearstar Pen on the Lanterns.  I cut the image with a Spellbinders Die and attached it to a Layer of Metallic Copper CS and then to a layer of Rusty Orange CS and a card base of Green.
The Power Poppy sentiment was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Copper Metallic EP.  The Copper CS and EP look really good in real life and add a lot to my card.  I wished that they showed better in the photo.
Challenges:
Power & Spark Challenge: Get Krafty
Simon Monday Challenge: Heavy Metal - use metal embellishments for example, charms, or metallic embossing powders, card stock, foils etc. I used metallic EP and CS.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says Anything Goes
Mod Squad Challenge: Fall Colors
